Overview

Galaxy Gates (or GG) are special types of portals that take you to a completely different system. There you will encounter various different types of aliens that attack in waves, ending with several rewards if completed successfully.

Gates

The aliens vary from difficulty to type depending on the gate entered.

There are currently 21 known galaxy gates. The newest gate is the "Compromising Invasion" Galaxy Gate.

Note: As of 29/10/2019, Galaxy Gates also drop ABRs, very important collectible materials used for upgrading items.

Please also check out this experiment by Palladium<3 on the Exact Cost of Galaxy Gates.

If you are interested, there are also bugs with Galaxy Gates that you can view here.

Important Things to Note

  • For the majority of gates, you have to jump one of two portals to either continue or to leave.

The other portal takes you back to your home map and the gate is still available to be entered again.

Please note you do not lose a life for doing this.

  • Most aliens will begin running into a corner when low on health.

Their health will not regenerate health but their shield will.

  • Once a gate is won, it is destroyed and will have to be re-built to use again.
  • You must defeat all aliens in the gate to complete it.
  • Galaxy Gates start from easy aliens and get harder each wave.
  • The Kamikaze Gear is a gear for the P.E.T 10 that allows you to clear big waves of small aliens very fast.
  • Rewards for Galaxy Gates are listed below.

Gate Completion Rings

Not only do you earn rewards for completing a galaxy gate, but if it's your first time completing either the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon and Zeta you are also rewarded with a golden ring to the left of your name in-game that is visible to all players.

The Kronos gate awards a crown after beating the new company, Saturn.

Note2

The Kronos Gate awards you with a crown symbol replacing any rings you may have.

Rings Alpha Gate Ring Beta Gate Ring Gamma Gate Ring Delta Gate Ring Epsilon Gate Ring Zeta Gate Ring Kronos Gate Symbol
Gate Alpha Gate ring Beta Gate ring Gamma Gate ring Delta Gate ring Epsilon Gate ring Zeta Gate ring Kronos Gate crown
Old Rings One-Ring Old Two-Ring Old Three-Ring Old Four-Ring Old

Preparing a gate

Galaxy gate mixed

You begin by visiting the Materialiser page on the Galaxy Gates tab found on Home screen. Make sure to have extra energy or Uridium to be able to use the Materialiser which will give you different rewards as you keep spinning.

Upon a finished gate, a finished gate will allow you to create a portal by pressing the 'Prepare Jump' button once all parts met, this portal then appears on your friendly X-1 base map. Now head to the portal and initiate the Jump action, which then takes you to the desired gate for you to finish. Be aware that you only have 5 lives, to begin with, meaning if you are destroyed in a galaxy gate, you lose a life but can retry at the wave you left off at.

Any aliens you have destroyed will not respawn.

Gate parts required

Here are the part numbers required to complete a galaxy gate.

Tips for Galaxy Gates

  • Having your P.E.T 10 deal damage will help, it also earns EP from all aliens destroyed.
  • Using Seprom or Promerium to boost ammunition will also be a great advantage.
  • Having the Moth drone formation will help you complete the waves faster; nearly all aliens in these gates are destroyed with over half shields when you use it.
  • Do not chase aliens, allow them to run on low health and move onto the next one. Then after they are in the corners, take them out while trying not to take damage.

Hades gate

Hades Gate

The Hades Gate is located in the dangerous Hades Nebula. It is a galaxy gate that players have to do in a group, that is challenging to complete, and features some of the hardest aliens in the game. It is currently the newest galaxy gate available (released on April 26, 2013).

Structure and Restrictions

  • The Gate has 3 stages, each finishing with a difficult boss fight.
  • To be able to play the gate you need to be in a group of at least 4 pilots, the maximum number of players in a Hades Gate is 8. All of the group members need to have their own Hades Gate on their x-1 map.
  • You cannot attack any other players in the Hades Nebula.

Entry

  • This gate requires a minimum of 4 people to also have this gate prepared for jump to be in an outfit to enter. The maximum players in an outfit are 8.
  • Like any other galaxy gate, the Hades Gate will be located on the X-1 maps once it has been built and set up successfully.
  • The group leader's stage progress defines which stage the Hades Gate instance is in (stage 1, 2 or 3), even if they are not the first player from their group to enter the gate. If the player has a different stage progress as the group leader, they will not be able to enter the gate.
  • The gate starts once all players in the group (with a restriction of at least 4 players) have their ships located within a special activation zone area located at the centre of the map.
  • In the instance of trying to enter a Hades Gate that is currently at the stage of distributing final rewards (after killing the last boss), the player will not be able to enter.
  • You can enter the wave (except the final wave Emperor) if your group leader is on that wave, even if it in a pervious Emperor wave.

Kill screen Options

  • When a player gets destroyed in the Hades Gate and still has lives remaining, they are presented with a kill screen with the option to respawn on the Hades Gate map for free.
  • There is a 30-second countdown which, if reached, will change the spawn option to the default GG kill screen option of respawning on X-1. Regardless of the option, the player selects it will always cost them 1 Hades Gate life.

Waves

For this gate, there are three phases:

Please note that some emperors have unique abilities that may be unexpected.

Group gate

An Adventure into a Group Gate is just that, Only a limited number of players can use this gate, but traveling in a group is certainly more reassuring as you prepare to do battle with the dreaded Century Falcon. Here is the group gate, and it is located in the X-3 Maps of each Company.

Once you and your friends have joined an Outfit, you can then jumped into the Group Gate. This is the map you will see.

Group gate Info

Red Zones are areas that you cannot fly in, and which can not be crossed. They are also marked in red on your mini-map. However, while you cannot cross these boundaries all the NPCs in the group gate will still be able to do so.

Green squares represent Relay stations, and they must be enabled to discover the Boss's position on the map and make it visible.

**In order to activate a relay station, simply shoot it until the green bar is full.

The Green circle in the middle is the location of the Pirate Headquarters, and is also where their boss will appear.

**You can regain HP here while fighting the pirates and the boss.
