The Minimap shows a smaller overview of the entire map, it will show the position of the gates and certain zones on the Space Map; you can also use it to navigate.
The minimap will also show the friends and enemies that are close to you on the Space Map: It acts as a radar screen, showing enemy and allied players in Red and Blue respectively. It has very limited range, but will always show fixed positions - such as Portals or the Home Base. On the left-hand side is contained a vertical bar, that fills upwards and becomes darker in shade as the danger level increases (only on x-1 and x-2 maps). You will see ships (enemy, Alien, or teammates) on the minimap only in a certain range. For example, you cannot see an enemy Alien on the other side of the map on the minimap but once you get closer, the enemy's location will appear as a red dot. But, there is an exception to this: If you are on an X-1 map, and there is an extremely dangerous invader, it will show up on the minimap as a dot surrounded by a square of orange dashes.
- Enemies and enemy P.E.T.s are red
- Members of your clan, and clans that you have a pact with, are shown as green
- Members of a clan you have a Non-Agression Pact with are shown as yellow
- Members of the same company are shown as blue
- Your P.E.T. shows as a blue triangle
Some of these are only available if you have the radar CPU or a premium package
Radar CPU ExtraEdit
If the player has a Radar CPU equipped, they become able to see the Diplomatic stance of other vessels towards his clan - Red now indicates enemy clans as well, Green allies, Orange NAPs, and Blue ships of the same company.
