Movement Basics are the first thing you should encounter when starting in the vast space maps. The whole gameplay of DarkOrbit is played primarily with the mouse, while Hot Keys are used for keyboard shortcuts.

To begin, you simply left click anywhere to move and your ship will navigate to that location. You can also hold the left click while facing a direction to easier traverse. You will be spending a lot of time traveling map to map with much to do, so luckily, your Minimap can be quite helpful. By clicking on a location on the Minimap, your ship will auutomatically fly to the selected point and a blue X and Y cursor will appear on the Minimap. When navigating through this method, it will be quite inaccurate compared to normal movement. You can terminate this auto-pilot by simply clicking anywhere.
